PROPS & PAINTS SUPERVISOR
Start Date: November 2024
Florida Studio Theatre, a fast-paced and dynamic professional LORT D regional theatre in Sarasota, FL, is seeking a Props and Paints Supervisor for its 5-theatre operation.
The Props & Paints Supervisor reports directly to the Technical Director, under the wing of the Director of Production. The job is primarily Monday-Friday, but nights and weekends are often required for changeovers, techs, previews, et al.
The Props and Paints Supervisor is responsible for:
- Oversight and execution of props (research, buying, and building)
- Oversight of scenic painting from start to finish
- Maintenance of the painting area and equipment
- Maintenance of the prop areas and equipment
- Supervision of the props and painting interns, volunteers and over hire staff.
Starting Salary range: $45,000 - $50,000per year

GENERAL MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT
Tentative Start Date: ASAP
Florida Studio Theatre, a professional LORT D theatre in Downtown Sarasota is seeking qualified applicants for the position of General Management Assistant.
This individual will work in theatre administration, assisting the General Manager with the daily operations of the theatre.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Contracting for all guest artists in accordance with AEA, AGVA, USA, SDC, and non-union standards
- Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of apprentices and interns in FST’s Professional Training Program.
- Serve as point of contact for all Group Sales inquiries.
- Provide support to the box office and front of house as a backup manager, taking on ticketing projects as needed.
- Maintaining space calendars across the five-theatre campus.
- Other duties in Development, Marketing, and on special projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, with a strong foundation in customer service. Strong computer skills are a must.
Salary range: $34,000-$38,000

SEASONAL BOX OFFICE & FRONT OF HOUSE ASSISTANTS (PT)
Ideal Start Date: October 2024
Florida Studio Theatre, a professional LORT D regional Theatre with five active theatre spaces, located in downtown Sarasota, FL is seeking Seasonal Part Time Box Office Assistant and Front of House Assistants to provide excellent customer service to theatre. This is a fast-paced, high-volume Box Office that services all five of our theatre spaces and is open seven days a week. Candidates must have good communication skills with a positive, friendly, and outgoing personality. Must be willing and able to spend a majority of the time on the phones. Must be prompt, reliable, and detail oriented. Must have open and flexible availability and be willing to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to evenings and weekends. The amount of hours available is variable week to week depending on the needs of the theatre.
Responsibilities include:
- Sell new subscriptions and single tickets for all FST performances, events, and some rentals as well as renew existing subscriptions - over the phone, in person, and via mail.
- Provide helpful information for performances, pricing options, parking, directions, and seating information.
- Assist with patron relations and resolve complex patron inquiries and complaints.
- Maintain familiarity with subscription and single ticket marketing initiatives, donor benefits, and Florida Studio Theatre events and website.
- Guide patrons though their online interactions when needed.
- Keep up a professional appearance in dress and attitude, and have a general appreciation for and understanding of live theatre.
- Assist with the maintenance of patron records; including but not limited to filing, and updating patron records.
- Assist with House Management of our 5 theatre spaces on an as need basis. This includes but is not limited to oversight of the events ushers and patron load in, completing and sending nightly reports, reconciling tickets for the performances and basic cleaning and maintenance of the space.

SENIOR FACILITIES TECHNICIAN
Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota seeks a highly skilled Senior Facilities Technician. The full-time work is primarily repair and scheduled preventative maintenance followed by projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to Lift 50lbs
- Skills in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry
- Experience in HVAC troubleshooting beyond component level
- EPA Section 608 Certified
- Knowledge of commercial and decorative lighting including neon, LED, and fluorescent
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair beyond component level
- Ability to prioritize repair work daily
- Ability to work from ladders including a-frame and extension
- Basic understanding of CMMS
- Able and willing to work in crawl spaces in hot temperatures
Salary position work hours are 9am - 6pm. Emergency calls, if required.
Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000
SERVERS
Hiring experienced servers for our dining service. Florida Studio Theatre is a live professional theatre with several restaurants and we serve food before the shows. Looking for fun and energetic people to join our team serving food and drinks before our shows. Servers must be reliable, able to work in a fast paced environment and be available on evenings and weekends.
Salary range: $8/hr + tips
DISHWASHERS
Hiring part-time dishwashers. We can work around your schedule. Great job for after school or as second job. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be available on evenings and weekends.
Pay: $11-$14/hr
