“My elderly father was a big reason I put this show together,” said show creator Nancy Allen. “He just lights up when classic country comes on the radio and he played a big part in which songs I chose. I sat down with him and we went through all his old records as he told me stories about what each song meant to him. Something that I thought was really cool: he was a pilot in Vietnam when he first fell in love with country music.  It was played ever day on the radio station for the troops and he was able to tune in while flying his plane.”
