FST was founded by an artist and continues to be led by artists, with actors, designers and writers in key leadership positions. FST understands that focusing on the artist creates a bond that extends beyond the fourth wall and out into the audience, and into the community beyond. FST produces theatre of intimacy on a grand scale: serving the largest subscriber base of any theatre its size in the nation, and reaching 160,000 attendees - one person at a time.
Ticket revenue only covers about 65% of the operating costs associated with all our programming. Like all non-profit institutions, we rely on the generous contributions of loyal patrons and corporations to bridge the gap. Donors are a critical part of FST's artistic team, ensuring that we can continue to make Sarasota a great place to raise children, and an even better place to raise adults.
FST provides many options for supporting programming through charitable gifts. Additionally, each giving level provides the donor with certain benefts. - Become a Friend with a contribution of at least $35 to support FST's artistic and education programs.
- Planned Giving - Join FST's Legacy Society and support the future of FST by making a planned gift to FST and enjoy the benefits and our gratitude today for your future gift.
- Co-Produce one of FST's many productions each year through a gift of $5000 to connect directly to the work and receive recognition at each show as well as special behind-the-scenes privelges.
- FST's Endowment - Ensure that FST is able to produce the best in Contemporary Theatre for years to come by supporting FST's Endowment which helps to cover day-to-day costs.
