Resident Production & Design Associates - Posted on 5/27/10 Florida Studio Theatre, a LORT D Equity Theatre in Sarasota, FL is seeking Resident Production and Design Associates. The rights candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of professional theatre experience and have multiple skills combined in one or more of the following ways: Stage Management and Lighting Design and/or Scenic Design and/or Costume Design. The position will execute designs for selected shows and stage manage at least 2 productions per season. Human Resources Director - Posted on 5/27/10 Florida Studio Theatre, a professional LORT D Equity regional theatre in Sarasota, FL is seeking qualified applicants for the new position of Human Resources Director. Duties include overseeing human resource activities such as vacation tracking, labor relations, benefits administration, performance planning meeting scheduling, training and employee education. Reviewing, researching, updating and communicating personnel policy. Oversee all aspects of Labor relations for all personnel including contract administration/clarification and disciplinary hearings. The right applicant is extremely efficient, organized and detail oriented, with strong communication and computer skills. Must be able to interpret contracts. Must be diplomatic and able to interact with senior management and all employees. Must have knowledge of employments laws and the ability to work independently and under pressure of deadlines. Professional Theatre Internships - Posted on 6/4/10 Florida Studio Theatre, a professional, LORT D regional three-theatre complex in Sarasota, FL is now accepting applications for internships for the 2010-2011 Season in the following areas: Sound (Opportunity to learn and operate the Yamaha digital sound console during production and operate the SFX computerized sound playback system. Work with the production team on locating and creating sound cues for production, and other support), Literary Management (script solicitation, New Play Development, the Readers' Circle, and research/writing opportunities), Production/Company Management ( Assist the Company Manager and Production Manager in Guest Relations (communicating wither performers, assist with travel and housing), research, shop needs and provide general clerical support for the department.) and Lighting (Work with the Master Electrician on maintaining lighting inventory, hang and focus, maintenance on show and special projects as assigned).
